LeadingAge Missouri’s Awards Program is all about people who make a difference every day in the lives of those they serve. It is about people who put quality first, deliver excellence and inspire others to do the same. These are the people who are expanding the possibilities for the people they serve!

 

Awards Recognition Committee

LeadingAge Missouri would like to recognize and thank this year’s Professional Recognition Committee. These individuals volunteer a great amount of their time to oversee this program and the task of selecting the winners.

2014 Awards Criteria

 

The LeadingAge Missouri Awards Program recognizes those individuals and organizations that have made an outstanding contribution in the fields of aging, health care, housing and community-based services. This is our way of saying "thank you” to those who do more than is expected and do the right things for the right reasons.

 

Distinguished Service Award - This award is to recognize an individual, researcher, educator, facility, institution of higher learning, association or other organization that has made an outstanding contribution to the welfare of the elderly in such areas as research, education, communications and public policy.

 Excellence in Service Award – This award is presented to a LeadingAge Missouri member in recognition of innovative and exceptional programs and services for residents and families, management operations or networking and services for the community.

 Employee of the Year Award - This award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the mission and philosophy of a LeadingAge Missouri member and/or has demonstrated unusual commitment to preserve the dignity, well-being, and independence of older Missourians and/or adults with disabilities.

 Volunteer of the Year Award - This award is presented to a resident, group or individual volunteer of a LeadingAge Missouri care provider member who has performed significant volunteer service to clients or residents and has demonstrated unusual commitment to preserve the dignity, well-being and independence of clients or members.

 Visionary Award – The award is to recognize creative new programs or services that are "ahead of its time” and serve as models of innovation and excellence in setting new directions for the future. The program or service must demonstrate a revolutionary concept that is setting standards of excellence within the continuum of aging services.

E. Willis Piehl Award - LeadingAge Missouri’s highest award is presented to an employee of a LeadingAge Missouri member who has made an outstanding contribution to the field of senior services in Missouri. The contribution must be exceptional, exemplary and have an impact beyond the community served.
